Empiric Directors

Having worked in recruitment for a number of years Sam and Stephan quickly identified the limitations of contemporary methods of bringing clients and candidates together. The vision they developed was to offer a holistic service to both clients and candidates. This led to the birth of Empiric in 2005.

SAM KAMYAR

Sam has over 12 years recruitment industry experience spanning Financial IT, Engineering and Telecoms. He entered the recruitment industry in 1999, working for one of the largest global recruitment firms and in 2005 partnered with Stephan Williams to establish Empiric Solutions.

His strategic vision for Empiric has always been for the business to become the leading Global Cross Market specialist for Hi-End recruitment. In 2009 Empiric were the fastest growing recruitment company in over 10 years according to the Sunday Times and featuring in the top 100 for the 2nd consecutive year supported Sam’s belief Empiric will succeed in this vision.

Sam has spent a substantial amount of time in Singapore opening Empiric’s first international office and will continue to drive international expansion across all continents. The international nature of the business strengthens its abilities to meet and exceed customer and client expectations.

STEPHAN WILLIAMS

Empiric is the result of a shared vision between Stephan Williams and Sam Kamyar of building a consultancy that delivers on promises and truly values the importance of building strong business relationships. In 2005, Empiric was founded on this premise and today the vision remains the same. Empiric’s aim is to replicate its existing methodologies and build on continued success globally across a diverse range of industry sectors.

Stephan is passionate about the future growth of Empiric and the opportunities this will present to the people who are a part of the business. He remains steadfast in his passion for quality recruitment and continues to personally manage and develop global client relationships within Asset Management and vendor technologies such as Charles River, Latent Zero, Thinkfolio and BlackRock Aladdin.

In 2010 Stephan was named “Under 30 Entrepreneur of The Year” by the Square Mile Magazine, an outstanding achievement and one that was celebrated by all at Empiric.

STEVE BROWN

Steve started his career in recruitment in 2001 with a global recruiter.  Sharing the Empiric vision, he joined Empiric in 2007 as a senior consultant, to assist with Sam and Stephan’s growth plans. Steve progressed through the ranks and built a successful team forming part of the organisation’s London office.

Steve personally develops new and existing client relationships through the recruitment process, whilst also being heavily involved in day to day operational elements and the strategic requirements and logistics of growing a business.

His commitment to the company and results achieved were rewarded and recognised by his appointment to Director in October 2010. Steve’s current remit focuses on the Account Delivery team, servicing and developing Empiric’s major accounts, whilst supporting the business operations.

DEAN RIDGEWELL

After studying Law at the polytechnic of central London Dean secured his first position within IT recruitment in the early 1990s. He has over 15 years recruitment experience, 10 within delivery and 9 within account and team management. Dean joins us from his previous company having been engaged as Senior London Sales Manager and Account Director. He has joined Empiric as part of the management team because in his own words…‘The reputation in the marketplace and the prospect of adding my experience within Empirics account and delivery function was a once in a lifetime opportunity”.
Dean’s keen interest in history has lead him to various and wonderful destinations around the globe.
