Controller

Empiric is very excited to be partnering with an exceptional Tampa based company who are in search of a Financial Controller to join their business.

The company is publicly traded, operating in the minerals and commodities sector.

Reporting directly into the President of the company, you will lead and own the company’s overall financial management processes including preparation of financial statements, regulatory and compliance reporting, accounting, tax, internal control, audit and compliance monitoring.

The company is looking for a Financial Controller who can not only manage the day-to-day financial operates but also act as a champion of best practice and drive forward their Financial Processes through their ERP system. You will also act as lead liaison to auditors and other third parties.

Key experience required

• Experience in a Controller position
• Experience either working in a publicly traded company or auditing/advising a publicly traded business
• Hold a CPA
• Ability to work on-site 3 days a week.
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems ie NetSuite, Dynamics Business Central, Epicor
